Brian "BT"
Gestation: 23.5 weeks
1lbs  9oz

Update 2001

Brian Thomas is 5 1/2 now. He has graduated from St.Agnes school and no longer requires any sort of therapy. BT's playing in a peewee baseball league and can hit the ball pretty hard. He loves Scooby Doo & Batman. He loves building with his Legos and can go up eight levels on the Donkey Kong Super Nintendo game. That's about as normal as you can get!

"The Lord has been very kind to me," said Robyn, BT's mom. "He gave me the miracle of my son to watch and marvel at each day of my life. I will never stop being grateful for his survival. Mother's Day just passed and his comment to me was 'Mom you are the very bestest Mom there ever was in the whole wide world and I love you with my whole heart & soul.' It just doesn't get much better than that!"

Brian Thomas is a happy child. And so very sweet and loving. He is
currently into Snow White and the Seven Dwarves and takes my wooden spoon
with his back pack looped around the end over his back and walks around
singing "I ho, I ho, Its off the work I go"
He also loves to ride his three wheeler around the road and run and jump and
slide on slides and just about everything outdoors. He shares with his
little sister...but doesn't really think it should be necessary and wants to
know from Mommy "how come Grumpy can say (he whispers) "Shut-up" - But its a bad word and how come he has to say "Be Quiet!!"

Life is nothing but one big "Why", He is learning about the world. He is
also over scale in height and weight for his age and wears a size 13 shoe at
3 1/2. I personally feel that its the balance of fats and sugars that make
him bigger than other kids his age.

Brian had his second cognitive work up and has fallen within normal range on all test sequences. Therefore ....he will go on to a normal kindergarten and school..... Yeah!
